Coming to Ukraine for the first time ever I was very nervous, but upon stepping off the plane to be greeted by the GoToNikolaev.com staff holding a card with my name, then having my bags retrieved and run through customs in less than 15 minutes set the tone for a great trip. Julie at customs helped assure me everything was taken care of and stayed with me right until I was in the taxi. The taxi driver stopping to buy me my first Ukraine coffee at a roadside stop about 40 KM from Odessa, showing me the friendliness of the people I was about to encounter. He even refused to let me pay for it, which showed me how kind and generous the people are in Ukraine to strangers. When we first arrived in Nikolaev, the taxi driver was also kind enough to give his own time to take me on a quick walking tour of the area, showing me restaurants, stores and where I could exchange money close to my apartment, which helped me relax and feel comfortable. Meeting the manager, Vadim, at the apartment to get keys and the cell phone I had rented was quick and efficient plus he was kind enough to help me purchase a phone card and show me where I was to go to meet with people I had a business meeting with that evening. When we encountered a problem with the Internet connection, he stayed until we were assured the problem was solved. I want to thank you for the efficiency, kindness and hospitality that you and your staff showed to me on my trip. I was also impressed by the prices, which locals explained were very inexpensive for the location I was staying at. Having travelled to Odessa on my own while in Nikolaev for a day of touring, I also discovered you have some of the best taxi rates in the area. The morning I left, checking out of the apartment was quick and efficient. The taxi driver was great and even helped me find where I had to go to check in at the airport. Through my whole journey in Ukraine, I felt safe and well taken care of knowing the GoToNIkolaev.com staff were with me the whole way! I rented a flat through "gotonikolaev" for my last trip there in April 2013. I sent in my rental request which they quickly replied to the next day. However, two days before I left, I wanted to add four more days to my rental and I had to change the arrival and departure times to and from Nikolayev. This was handled very professionally and taken care of very quickly. I was very satisfied with Dmitry and his company who quickly handled all the changes I made. They also offer the most reasonable round trip transfers to and from Odessa to Nikolayev.
